Design Flaw?

Perhaps it was intentional, but this is the type of design flaw that was apparent over and over again at the brand new Soumaya Museum.

By placing the fire extinguishers on the floor I’m guessing that their necessity wasn’t discussed during the design and planning phase of the building. This is apparently the best solution as throughout the entire museum the walls are sloped making it impossible to hang anything on them…(The floors are nice)

Today is day 50, halfway mark of the project that I’m currently doing – Michael Beirut’s 100 day creative challenge.

It has been an interesting undertaking; forcing myself to pick up the camera everyday and make the best possible image at that particular moment. I am seeing the surroundings around me in new ways, I plan images and think about how I will photograph them.

This project also marks a clear transition from analog to digital photography, a slow gradual process that I’ve been undergoing for the last several years.

The final outcome and presentation is yet to be determined, but I’m enjoying the results. They are very loose yet all fall under the mission of the best photograph that I can take every day.
